Why it matters
WOPET's app connects over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi to program meals remotely, and you can share control with family members. A 10-second recording plays when a meal dispenses.
Safety locks on the container and lid keep pets out. It runs on the included adapter with three D batteries as backup; WOPET notes Wi-Fi features don't work on battery alone.
Who it's for, and who should skip it
Good fit if
- Families sharing care
- Owners who want app control
- Single cats
Look elsewhere if
- Wet food
- Cats on a strict diet that steal from others
- Kibble larger than the maker's range
Pros and cons
Pros
- 6 L hopper
- Shared app
- Safety locks
Cons
- 2.4 GHz only
- Wi-Fi off on batteries
- Single bowl
Limitations to weigh
- Check your kibble size against the maker's stated range; oversized or oily kibble is the usual cause of jams.
- Fit the backup batteries; on most feeders Wi-Fi features pause on battery power, but scheduled meals continue.
- Run the feeder for a few days while you're home before trusting it alone, and keep the desiccant fresh.
