Why it matters
This 3 L (12-cup) feeder schedules 1 to 6 meals a day with custom portions, without Wi-Fi or an app. It handles dry food from 2 to 15 mm, including larger kibble such as dental diets.
Three D batteries last more than 180 days, so it can sit anywhere. A spring-lock lid and silicone sealing rotor keep food fresh and paws out. The hopper lasts up to two weeks.
Who it's for, and who should skip it
Good fit if
- Single cats
- Rooms without an outlet
- Large kibble
Look elsewhere if
- Wet food
- Cats on a strict diet that steal from others
- Kibble larger than the maker's range
Pros and cons
Pros
- Long battery life
- Wide kibble range
- Lock lid
Cons
- No remote control
- Batteries not included
- 3 L hopper
Limitations to weigh
- Check your kibble size against the maker's stated range; oversized or oily kibble is the usual cause of jams.
- Run the feeder for a few days while you're home before trusting it alone, and keep the desiccant fresh.
