Why it matters
Micro Crystals are small silica crystals that absorb odor-causing liquids and quickly dry solid waste. Litter Pearls makes them especially soft on paws.
They're 99.9% dust free and fragrance free. The bag is 7 lb.
Who it's for, and who should skip it
Good fit if
- Sensitive paws
- Scent-sensitive homes
- Crystal pans
Look elsewhere if
- Clumping-only self-cleaning boxes
- Cats that dislike crunchy texture
- Owners who prefer to scoop clumps
Pros and cons
Pros
- Soft on paws
- Unscented
- Very low dust
Cons
- Non-clumping
- Small bag
- Not for clumping-only boxes
Limitations to weigh
- Crystal litter suits crystal-tray boxes such as the ScoopFree and boxes whose maker lists crystal litter; most clumping-only globes reject it.
- Switch litters gradually by mixing in the new one over about a week; abrupt changes can put cats off the box.
