Why it matters
SureFeed opens its lid only for the pet whose microchip it has learned, which stops food stealing and lets each cat stay on its own diet. It reads 9-digit (AVID Secure), 10-digit (FDX-A) and 15-digit (FDX-B) chips.
The bowl holds 13.5 fl oz of wet or dry food, and the lid seals against a neoprene lip to keep food fresher. It runs on batteries and carries a 3-year warranty.
Who it's for, and who should skip it
Good fit if
- Prescription diets
- Food stealers
- Wet or dry food
Look elsewhere if
- Single-cat homes (no need)
- Cats that dislike lids moving
- Free-feeding households
Pros and cons
Pros
- Reads 9, 10 and 15-digit chips
- Wet or dry
- Sealing lid
Cons
- Not timed
- Battery replacement

Limitations to weigh
- Register each cat's microchip (or tag) and check that the feeder reads it before relying on it for separate diets.
- Wet food spoils at room temperature; follow the maker's limit on how long meals can sit.
