Why it matters
Bedsure's mat reflects a cat's own body heat with no cords or plugs. The top is plush faux fur, the reflective layer is noiseless, and the bottom is non-skid.
It's 24 x 18 in, rated to 30 lb, and the maker lists it as machine washable.
Who it's for, and who should skip it
Good fit if
- Window seats and crates
- Chewers
- Indoor use
Look elsewhere if
- Outdoor shelters in deep cold
- Cats that need real heat
Pros and cons
Pros
- No cord
- Noiseless
- Machine washable
Cons
- Mild warmth
- Flat mat
- Faux fur holds hair
Limitations to weigh
- Cats pick beds by location as much as by fabric: try a warm, quiet spot with a view before deciding a bed is a miss.
- Check the care label: some covers come off for the washer, others need spot cleaning or a gentle cycle.
- Self-warming adds mild warmth only.
