Why it matters
oneisall's 7268 is built for matted cat hair: a five-speed motor, a 6-in-1 adjustable blade and stainless cutters. The maker says it runs under 49 dB, quiet enough for nervous cats.
It's cordless and works on the back, body, legs, face and ears.
Who it's for, and who should skip it
Good fit if
- Long-haired cats
- Small mats
- Nervous cats
Look elsewhere if
- Cats with skin conditions without vet advice
- Severe matting that needs a groomer
- Owners expecting one session to fix shedding
Pros and cons
Pros
- Five speeds
- Quiet
- Adjustable blade
Cons
- Learning curve
- Blades need care
- Not for skin-tight mats
Limitations to weigh
- Large or tight mats near the skin are safer for a groomer or vet to remove.
- Keep the blade flat and never pull the skin tight against the cutter.
- Keep sessions short and end with a treat; a cat that learns grooming is brief tolerates it far better.
