Why it matters
KiwiLove puts its ball inside a 7-hole maze pouch so cats reach in after it. Three speeds and a do-not-disturb mode keep it from waking the house at night.
It wakes three ways, including touch.
Who it's for, and who should skip it
Good fit if
- Puzzle-minded cats
- Night-time quiet
- Indoor cats
Look elsewhere if
- Cats frightened by motor noise
- Unsupervised play with loose parts
- Owners expecting it to replace play time with you
Pros and cons
Pros
- Maze pouch
- Do-not-disturb
- Three speeds
Cons
- Pouch wear
- Charging
- Small ball
Limitations to weigh
- Rotate toys every few days; cats lose interest in a toy that's always out.
- Supervise play with strings, wires and small parts, and put them away after.
- End each session with a catch: a treat or a toy your cat can grab.
