Why it matters
Most wands snap at the joint. The Forever Stick is a single solid fiberglass rod that bends and bounces back, with a cork handle and a natural feather lure. The maker backs it with a 3-year warranty.
At 36 in, you can play from the sofa.
Who it's for, and who should skip it
Good fit if
- Strong cats
- Owners tired of broken wands
- Couch play
Look elsewhere if
- Unsupervised use (strings)
- Cats that chew feathers
- Owners who won't put it away after play
Pros and cons
Pros
- Unbreakable rod
- Cork handle
- Warranty
Cons
- Pricier
- Lure wears
- Supervise only
Limitations to weigh
- Supervise play with strings, wires and small parts, and put them away after.
- End each session with a catch: a treat or a toy your cat can grab.
- Rotate toys every few days; cats lose interest in a toy that's always out.
