Why it matters
Amazon's small tower is one of the best-selling cat trees: a 15.75 in base, two jute-wrapped posts and a plush hammock slung between them, about 19.7 in tall. A dangling ball is replaceable.
It's a starter tree for kittens and small cats rather than a climbing tower.
Who it's for, and who should skip it
Good fit if
- Kittens
- Small cats
- Tight budgets
Look elsewhere if
- Large cats over about 15 lb
- Cats that leap hard onto the top
- Multi-cat homes needing room for all
Pros and cons
Pros
- Low price
- Hammock
- Two posts
Cons
- Short
- Small hammock
- Light base
Limitations to weigh
- Measure your biggest cat nose to tail: perches should be longer than your cat lying down.
- Re-tighten the bolts every few weeks; posts loosen as cats climb.
- Place it by a window for a view.
