Why it matters
Yaheetech's 63 in tree sits on a wide 30.5 x 19 in footprint with five platforms, a foam-edged 21 x 15 in perch and seven sisal posts. The condo is rated to 22 lb and the hammock to 18 lb.
The maker sizes it for three to four cats.
Who it's for, and who should skip it
Good fit if
- Multi-cat homes
- Heavy cats
- Scratchers
Look elsewhere if
- Small rooms with low ceilings
- Owners who can't anchor it
- Elderly cats that struggle to climb
Pros and cons
Pros
- Seven posts
- Weight-rated
- Wide base
Cons
- Footprint
- Assembly
- Hand wash
Limitations to weigh
- Stand tall trees against a wall or in a corner; anchor with the strap if one is supplied.
- Re-tighten the bolts every few weeks; posts loosen as cats climb.
- Measure your biggest cat nose to tail: perches should be longer than your cat lying down.
