Why it matters
Most enclosures are too small for a self-cleaning box. Forest Gravity's CLBE-0192 is built for them: 42.9 in long, 26.8 in deep and 36.6 in tall, and the maker names Litter-Robot 3 and 4 as fits.
An adjustable shelf lets you set the space; measure your unit before buying.
Who it's for, and who should skip it
Good fit if
- Litter-Robot and other large self-cleaners
- Hiding an automatic box
- Large rooms
Look elsewhere if
- Self-cleaning boxes unless the inside fits them
- Very large cats if the entry is small
- Homes without room for a cabinet-size piece
Pros and cons
Pros
- Fits big automatic boxes
- Adjustable shelf
- Tall interior
Cons
- Very large footprint
- Heavy
- Needs an outlet nearby
Limitations to weigh
- Measure your self-cleaning box, including the opening and the waste drawer, before buying.
- Leave room for the power cord and for the globe or lid to move.
- Enclosures trap smell as well as hide it: scoop daily and keep the vent holes clear.
