Why it matters
FUKUMARU's PB03 has a rollable privacy curtain that covers most of the cat's view, which helps nervous cats settle, while the ventilated top keeps air moving. The maker sizes it at 17.5 x 11.8 x 11.4 in for under-seat travel.
It's rated for cats up to 15 lb.
Who it's for, and who should skip it
Good fit if
- Nervous travelers
- Flights (check airline)
- Vet visits
Look elsewhere if
- Cats larger than the stated weight or size
- Flights without checking the airline's limits
- Cats that chew mesh
Pros and cons
Pros
- Privacy curtain
- Ventilated top
- Under-seat size
Cons
- 15 lb limit
- Snug for big cats
- Check airline rules
Limitations to weigh
- Measure your cat nose to tail-base and shoulder height; it should be able to stand and turn around inside.
- Leave the carrier out at home with a blanket and treats inside so your cat sees it as a den, not a vet trip.
- Airline rules vary by airline and route; check your airline's under-seat size and weight limit before you book.
