Why it matters
PEGIC's carrier is big enough for two cats at 24 x 16 x 16 in, built on a light steel-tube frame. Setup is three steps: step on the bottom strap, lift until it clicks, join the top bars.
Retractable bottom tubes let it fold about 30% smaller than typical large carriers.
Who it's for, and who should skip it
Good fit if
- Two-cat homes
- Road trips
- Moving house
Look elsewhere if
- Cats larger than the stated weight or size
- Flights without checking the airline's limits
- Cats that chew mesh
Pros and cons
Pros
- Fits two cats
- Quick setup
- Folds small
Cons
- Large to carry
- Not for flights
- Steel tubes add weight
Limitations to weigh
- Measure your cat nose to tail-base and shoulder height; it should be able to stand and turn around inside.
- Leave the carrier out at home with a blanket and treats inside so your cat sees it as a den, not a vet trip.
- Airline rules vary by airline and route; check your airline's under-seat size and weight limit before you book.
