Why it matters
Petsfit built this carrier around car travel: patented safety buckles attach it to the seat so it doesn't slide in braking or turns. The semi-enclosed design gives a cat a covered, calm space.
It's 18 x 11 x 11 in and rated to 12 lb.
Who it's for, and who should skip it
Good fit if
- Frequent car trips
- Vet visits
- Small to medium cats
Look elsewhere if
- Cats larger than the stated weight or size
- Flights without checking the airline's limits
- Cats that chew mesh
Pros and cons
Pros
- Car safety buckles
- Semi-enclosed
- Collapsible
Cons
- 12 lb limit
- Not for big cats
- Check airline rules
Limitations to weigh
- Measure your cat nose to tail-base and shoulder height; it should be able to stand and turn around inside.
- Leave the carrier out at home with a blanket and treats inside so your cat sees it as a den, not a vet trip.
- Attach it every time; an unsecured carrier can slide in a stop.
